Dr S Pushpavanam

He is the Y.B.G. Varma Institute Chair Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. His expertise lies in developing devices based on chemical engineering processes such as flow, adsorption and chemical reaction. He exploits the physicochemical properties of the system to innovate and develop new devices.

Dr G Saranya   

She is an interdisciplinary researcher passionate about developing point-of-need sensors by applying principles of biology and engineering. She has experience in developing PDMS and paper-based microfluidic systems, which are affordable, sensitive, and user-friendly.

Dr Richa Karmakar

Dr Richa is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. By education, she is a Bioengineer and is currently working on cellular dynamics using Lab-on-a-chip devices. She is working on a fundamental understanding of diseases like sepsis and antibacterial resistance and is focused on disease diagnosis.
